We are a design and renovate company that focuses on interior renovations, especially kitchens, bathrooms and modifying floor layouts. Our focus is to improve people’s lives by improving their homes, and to create a renovation experience from start to finish that is as painless as possible. We are a team of Designers, Project Managers, and Carpenters providing a full-service renovation experience. We are looking to hire an experienced Site Lead/Foreman who has relevant residential construction experience and who is looking to grow with a company. The ideal candidate must have an appetite for challenge. This is an environment where we challenge each other daily to find new and innovative ways to succeed. Must be organized, detail-orientated, able to work independently and in a team environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing schedule and organizing daily and weekly on-site activities
  • Reporting daily activities to the Project Manager and Customer through daily logs. Coordination of material needs and delivery schedule with the Project Manager
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
  • Day to day quality control
  • Managing of 1-2 apprentices/labourers sub-trades
  • Maintaining job site safety and cleanliness
  • Coordinating scheduling of sub-trades with the Project Manager
  • Production including; drywall, mud/taping, tile, hardwood, demolition, framing, trim, finishing, etc.
  • Facilitating a healthy and positive workplace environment for colleagues and sub-trades
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience and implementation of the customer/designer vision 
  • Be an advocate for the customer by ensuring the Designed Vision is met 
  • Provide friendly, informative information and answer questions from the customer as needed in-person on site
  • Identify when customer questions should be directed to the Project Manager
  • Identify when the job scope deviates from the plan and when appropriate change orders are required. Support the Project Manager or Sales Team in pricing and delivering change order documents
  • Assist and support the Project Manager as needed in their communication responsibilities to the customer
  • Work with Project Manager and Designers to provide timely feedback and suggestions on problems with plans or design and implementation of the project plan
  • Mentor, train and encourage junior staff in skills, awareness, and general knowledge of the construction process
  • Ensure all work performed by you, junior staff and sub-trades is to the quality standards set by Copperstone Kitchens and Renovations

Requirements

  • 10-15 years experience in renovation trades.
  • Experience in managing apprentices/labourers.
  • Proven experience as a construction foreman
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, procedures, and processes
  • Ability to read construction drawings, plans and blueprints
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively
  • Aptitude in math
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • Must have a valid “G” licence
  • Must have own vehicle
