You’ll see an incredible variety of colours, styles and finishes. That’s because Copperstone’s talented design team specializes in designing for your unique needs and tastes.

What Makes a Successful Kitchen Makeover?

There are a few key considerations that are fundamental to the design of a kitchen. Of course, designing a kitchen that works is much more complicated than this, but these three questions will affect most of your other choices.

1. Are you staying in your home or will you be selling in the near future?

Kitchens and bathrooms can make or break the sale of a home, and their appeal will impact the final price as well. But if you’re planning to move, you don’t want to spend more than you have to. You also don’t want to invest in highly personalized choices that may not work for other people. If you’re staying, however, it can be really worth it to customize your kitchen a little more so it really works for how you live. You have more freedom to pick styles and colours that appeal to your tastes.

2. Does the layout work for how you live, or are there functional problems to solve?

The kitchen you have may not be the kitchen you need. If you have pet peeves about living and working in your kitchens, share them with us. While there are “rules” about how to design a kitchen, the art of design lies in how they’re applied. With our help, you can get rid of those little “gotchas” that waste time and cause frustration.

3. How do you want to feel in your kitchen?

When it comes to choosing finishes and colours, there are thousands of options. How do you choose between dark and light, colourful or muted, and shiny or matte? The right answer often comes down to your personality and lifestyle. The good news is that we can help you find a balance, so that your kitchen works just as well whether you’re entertaining, relaxing, or trying to get out the door on a busy workday morning.

There are many wrong ways to design a kitchen, a few right ways. Our designers can help you create the perfect kitchen, and get the most value for your budget. You can learn more about our design process here.
